SYNOPSIS

Antony and Cleopatra’ mixes fact and fiction, set two thousand years ago in Egypt, across the Mediterranean and to Rome. Mark Antony, one of the three rulers of Rome, is deeply in love with the queen of Egypt, Cleopatra. He has abandoned his post in Rome and wife Fulvia to be with her, leaving his country fragile and Caesar growing angrier by the hour. Antony returns to Rome and the pair overlook their past to defeat a common enemy, however when that falls through and Antony flees back to Cleopatra, causing Caesar to form a plot to destroy Antony and Cleopatra.
